Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the application process and life at our partner universities in China.
Do I need to speak Mandarin to apply?
No. Many of our partner universities offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses taught entirely in English. However, we do recommend basic Mandarin for daily life, and language support is often available.
What are the entry requirements for UK students?
Generally, universities look for A-Level results (typically 3 passes) or an equivalent IB Score. For postgraduates, a good Bachelor's degree (2:1 or higher) is favored. We assess your profile individually.
Are scholarships available for international students?
Yes, there are numerous scholarships including the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC), provincial scholarships, and university-specific merit awards. We provide guidance on all eligibility criteria.
How long does the visa process take?
The standard processing time for a student visa to China is usually 4-7 working days once all documents are submitted. However, gathering the initial Invitation Letter from the university can take 4-8 weeks.
